The SAMP Group has now launched an important improvement and cost-saving programme. “With today’s unpromising economic climate, tremendous efforts must be made to move company business in the right direction and to guarantee shareholders economic success,” comments Artemio Affaticati, CEO of the SAMP Group. “Although sales will remain relatively stable in some areas, we expect other business activity to be on a downward trend. This negative downturn will persist throughout 2009, although we assume some markets will have recovered by mid 2010. Nevertheless, when it comes to the automotive industry, we dare not make any forecasts yet.
The first results of the improvement programme have been positive so we are confident that we will successfully fulfil our objectives, offering the market new products and enhancing profitability.”
